The Pacific region – our region – is under more pressure than ever before. Forced to accept the notion of small, vulnerable island states, yet classified as the last untapped, under-explored and under-exploited region in the world. There is a push to carve up the Pacific Islands, taking our resources under the guise of development through trade deals, extractive industries, international debt and colonisation. We work to support Pacific Islanders to be self-determining and to act within their traditional world view as custodians of the oceans.
