Our Issues
Our region is under more pressure than ever before. Forced to accept the notion of small, isolated, vulnerable island states, yet classified as the last untapped, under-explored and under-exploited ocean region in the world. There is a push to carve up the Pacific ocean, taking our natural resources under the guise of ‘sustainable’ development through free trade deals and the blue economy/ blue growth narrative enabled by accelerated infrastructure development projects which which burdens island economies with loans and international debt.
We work to support Pacific Islanders to be self-determining and act within their traditional world view coupled with the knowledge as custodians of the oceans.
